ABOUT
Not every turning point announces itself. Yet it changes everything.
Some moments reveal their meaning only with time.

Irina Myasoedova is a contemporary artist born in Kazakhstan. Her path to painting did not begin with formal artistic training or a carefully chosen career. Instead, it began with an unexpected experience that would quietly change the course of her life.
In 2014, before she ever picked up a paintbrush, Irina experienced a series of dreams over several consecutive nights. In each dream, she stood before a blank canvas, painting. Until that moment, art had never been part of her life. Yet the images remained with her long after she awoke.
Unable to dismiss what she had seen, she bought her first canvases and paints. Without any formal artistic training, she approached a blank canvas for the first time. That first painting became the beginning of a journey she could never have anticipated.
Life continued to unfold in unexpected ways. It brought moments of joy and loss, certainty and uncertainty, inner strength, change, and experiences that gradually transformed the way she saw both people and the world around her. Through every stage of that journey, painting remained a constant presence. No matter where life led her, she always returned to the canvas.
Over time, painting became inseparable from her life. The decision to devote herself entirely to her practice was not the result of a single defining moment, but the natural outcome of many years of returning to the canvas again and again.
Irina does not seek to repeat an established style, nor does she paint simply to create something decorative. She never forces the creative process or waits for inspiration to arrive. Instead, she begins a new work only when she feels that the moment is right. Each painting grows out of lived experience—its emotions, memories, dreams, aspirations, and the invisible dimensions of life that cannot be seen but can be deeply felt. Some images reveal themselves with remarkable clarity before the first brushstroke, while others take shape gradually as the painting unfolds.
Without formal artistic training, Irina has developed a visual language shaped by intuition, close observation, and lived experience. Dreams, memory, the complexity of human nature, questions of good and evil, and the mysteries that exist beyond the visible world form the foundation of her work. These ideas are rarely expressed literally. Instead, they are woven into the atmosphere of each painting, its emotional depth, and its quiet inner presence.
For Irina Myasoedova, painting is a way of expressing what words cannot.
